Dewey's Read-a-thon: a running update

Time to start reading!

To keep things easy for myself I'll be keeping a running update on what I'm reading etc in one post. First, here's a picture of the books I'll be choosing between the next 24 hours. I won't get through all of them, but I like having a selection (it might change as the hours pass). For reading breaks I have some podcasts from Stuff You Missed in History Class, Legend of the Seeker DVDs, and a scarf to knit. :)

 Let the reading begin! :)

Updates:

14:01: Started reading Fables vol. 20: Camelot
14:15: Participated in the Hour 1 Opening Meme.
15:30: Participated in the Hour 2 Mini Challenge: Coffee or tea?
17:20: Finished reading Fables vol. 20: Camelot. I love that series.
17:30: Started Marco-effekten by Jussi Adler-Olsen
17:54: Participated in the Hour 4 Mini Challenge: Quotable quotes
18-19: A cuddly cat and Legend of the Seeker break:

But now it's back to Danish crime. :)
19:36: Taking a break from crime and switching to dystopian: Mockingjay.
20:30: Participating in the Book Staging Mini Challenge at On the Wings of Books. My entry was Mockingjay.
23:04: On page 233 of 390 in Mockingjay.
05:55: Participated in Book Spine Poetry Mini Challenge: my entry.
07:55: Weeped my way through the last two chapters of Mockingjay.
08:17: Started reading Flight vol 1.
10:42: Have finished another episode of Legend of the Seeker and Flight vol 1.
11:30: Started reading Flight vol 2.
13:36: Finished Flight vol. 2.

It's been fun participating in the Read-a-ton again, but now I'm off to spend some time with Sleeping Beauty:

See you next time?

  5. You're doing great! Graphic novels are practically a necessity to a successful readathon (I read one a few hours ago that re-energized my spirit). I'm hoping to do a re-read of Mockingjay, seeing it on your blog makes me wish I'd thought to add it to my pile. Happy reading!

    1. Thanks Kate. Yes, Graphic novels are great for the read-a-ton - good stories with a different visual impact than page after page of plain text. :)
